切爾西官網截屏這名小將是在06年從以色列特拉維夫哈普爾俱樂部加盟切爾西的，在加盟球隊後的第一個賽季，他便在與英甲聯賽曼切斯菲爾德的一場足總盃比賽中，替補出場完成了自己的處子秀。而他的英超首秀，則是在那場比賽不久後與維甘隊的一場聯賽中替補登場。在加盟切爾西的第一個賽季中，他總共只獲得了四次的替補機會，而且還都是替補。在07年的二月，薩哈爾便以17歲的年齡成為了切爾西以及以色列隊歷史上最為年輕的國腳。緊接著在那年接下來的三月，他又以與愛沙尼亞隊國際比賽中的兩粒進球成為了切爾西與他祖國球隊最年輕的進球者，可謂是風頭正勁。在他切爾西的第二的賽季之初，便被球隊租借到了英冠的女王公園巡邏者隊，然而卻在租借初期因為動了闌尾手術修養了一小段時間。在巡邏者隊，他總共得到了八次出場機會，但是卻沒有進球紀錄。在結束了這次租借後，他馬上又被租借去了同是英冠級別的謝菲爾德週三隊，租期是從08年的二月到五月，在這三個月中，他總共在12次的出場中打入了3粒進球，比起之前的無一收穫可謂是有所長進，值得一提的是，在這三粒進球中，其中一粒入球是直接將球隊的保級對手送到英甲的黃金進球。時間一晃來到上個賽季。相比於前兩個賽季的穩中求進，上個賽季的開端對於薩哈爾是相當沮喪的，被租借到樸茨茅斯之後，本以為可以得到更多的英超比賽經驗，這時大腿的傷病卻阻礙了小將的成長，也正因此，他不得不一無所獲的又回到了斯坦福橋。在傷勢痊癒之後，他在 2009年年初隨即又被租借到了荷甲的Graafschap隊，雖然薩哈爾的進球避免了球隊直接降入乙級，但是在保級附加賽中，他的球隊還是因為點球落敗而沒能逃過降級的厄運。這一年對於薩哈爾，顯然是有些殘酷的。眼看自己的年齡逐漸增長，在外面幾乎漂泊兩年，而在一線隊還是遲遲不能得到機會，薩哈爾最終還是選擇了離開。而這，也恰恰是許多豪門的年輕球員都不得不面對的窘境。至於這名以色列新秀會不會也像格倫˙約翰森與拉薩納˙迪亞拉等當年的一干藍軍前輩那樣，出走到別的球隊後便大放異彩，也只能讓時間來回答這個問題。附薩哈爾在切爾西出場紀錄：一線隊：5次出場（全替補） 0入球預備隊：16次首發 1次替補 6入球青年隊：5次首發 4次替補 4入球 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~1725320,00.html SAHAR JOINS RCD ESPANYOL Posted on: Fri 17 Jul 2009 Ben Sahar has today (Friday) completed a transfer to Spanish Primera League club RCD Espanyol. The 19-year striker leaves after three years, having joined Chelsea in the summer of 2006 from Hapoel Tel-Aviv and making his first team debut during his first season, as a sub against Macclesfield in the FA Cup third round. His Barclays Premiership debut came later that month against Wigan. In total he made four sub appearances during the 2006/07 campaign. In February 2007 Sahar became both Chelsea and Israel's youngest international at the age of 17. The next month he made more records by becoming our youngest international goalscorer with two goals against Estonia. He began his second Chelsea season on loan at QPR although the start was interrupted by an appendix operation. In total he played nine games at the Championship club but failed to find the net. A more productive time was enjoyed in the same division at Sheffield Wednesday between February and May 2008, scoring three goals in 12 appearances, including a goal in a final day win that kept the Hillsborough side up. Last season began with a fruitless loan spell with Portsmouth which yielded only a thigh injury before a return to Stamford Bridge and then a six-month move to Holland. That was with Dutch side De Graafschap in early 2009. Sahar's goals helped his loan side avoid automatic relegation but a play- off penalty shoot-out cost De Graafschap their top-flight status. In total he made five sub appearances for the Chelsea first team with no goals scored. For the reserves there were 16 starts and one sub appearance with six goals. For the youth team, 5+4 appearances with four goals scored.
