Firstly, the Italian was obviously pleased with Chelsea's two-goal comeback late in the second half as we sealed a draw in stoppage time and overcame Reading's lead. 'It was not easy to come back from 2-0 down. It was a difficult game because for us it was not easy to recover but in the second half the team were stronger,' explained Ancelotti. 'We worked hard and we drew and to come back from two goals down is a good result.' Secondly, our work ethic proved to Ancelotti that the side is beginning to create an all-important identity as we head towards a Community Shield clash with Manchester United. 'To begin with we found it difficult to play because the game was slow and very close and the Reading defence did some good work. We didn't find the right space to attack. 'This is one aspect which is down to the other team, Reading played very well in the first half, very good defensively but were very quick on attack and this was difficult. 'But we came back. I have seen in these friendly matches some very good quality in the team and we have faith we'll do well this season.' The 4-4-2 diamond formation was Ancelotti's choice once more, with Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba starting alongside one another up front, while Deco took up a more defensive role in midfield. 'Anelka and Drogba can play together because they are great strikers; but they also have different qualities so they can play well alongside each other. 'Deco played in a defensive position, he worked hard but he played in a very difficult moment of the match because there was little space on the pitch and he found it difficult to play.' From the other perspective, the opposition's manager was not too surprised about Chelsea's comeback, being an old Chelsea man himself! 'I thought our [Reading's] players were outstanding and it was a good game,' said former reserves manager Brendan Rodgers. 'This was a game we were looking forward to and up until five minutes from full time it was going well.
