Braves' Jeff Mathis: Contract selected by Atlanta
Mathis had his contract selected by Atlanta on Sunday.
The 38-yea-roled joined the club on a minor-league deal in late March after
being let go by the Phillies, and he'll now receive an opportunity in the
majors. Mathis should split time behind the plate with Williams Contreras
after Travis d'Arnaud (thumb) and Alex Jackson (hamstring) landed on the
injured list.
由於勇士隊陣中主力捕手 Travis d'Arnaud 以及 Alex Jackson 都進入到傷兵名單當中
球團方面也決定從訓練基地一同拉上 Williams Contreras 以及38歲資深老將 Jeff Mathis
Mathis 今年初原本是加盟費城人隊，不過在春訓途中遭到釋出
後來在開季前夕與勇士隊簽下小聯盟合約
而他在接下來準備展開生涯在大聯盟的第17個賽季
