He yelled “mine!” as he passed behind Howie Clark in the ninth inning. Clark backed off the pop-up and it led to the Yankees scoring three runs. 藍鳥隊對A-Rod不太爽。九局A-Rod跑壘時經過Howie Clark身後，他喊了一聲「我的！」 Clark後退，漏掉了這個必死高飛球。洋基藉著這個小差錯，又得了三分。 “I’ve never seen it happen, maybe I’m naive but I thought it was a bush-league play.
