During that : outing , Halladay had his left shin broken by a line drive off the bat of : Texas' Kevin Mench : 文章的意思大概都懂 : 但後面幾句看起來我的第一直覺以為是Halladay被Mench的棒子打到 : 然後"左脛"這個部位斷了不過去看了轉播跟play-by-play後發現 : Halladay會下場是因為先一個保送又一支安打接著一個深遠飛球被接殺後直接換Ryan的 : 而Mench呢？他是九局才上來代打也的確有斷棒飛出去 : 不過他面對的是Ryan並不是Halladay呀！！ : 然後在其他地方並沒有看到有關受傷的消息應該是我誤解他的意思了 : 請問一下在英文裡面那個" left shin " 指的到底是什麼?? 你的問題和 left shin 一點關係都沒有。首先，"broken by a line drive off the bat of Kevin Mench"，左小腿是被平飛球 (line drive) 打中，不是被球棒 (bat) 打中。 by 這個介繫詞後面的受詞是 a line drive，而 off the bat of sb. 是修飾 line drive 的補語。其次，"since July 8, 2005, when a line drive broke his left shin." 那個 when 是關係副詞，就是指 on July 8, 2005 的意思，所以這件事是發生在 2005 年 7 月 8 日，而不是今天。看後面那段："...since July 8, 2005.
