Dominika Cibulkova (DC): It was surely the final in Montreal where I beat Jankovic, Dementieva, Bartoli and other girls. Also, the tournament in Doha where I beat Venus Williams and some players from the top 20. I had a few tournaments last year in which I played really well. I think during the season I played consistently. Q: You've had two great rounds at the Australian Open; how do you feel? DC: I am playing really well. I go for every ball and it's been a good result. Q: Do you enjoy the Australian Open? DC: I love it here. But last year and a year ago I lost in the first round of the qualifiers and the first round of the main draw, so I didn't have very nice memories of the Australian Open. But now it's getting better. Q: Do you prefer singles or doubles? DC: Singles for sure, I don't really play a lot of doubles … but I'm trying to improve. In the Hopman Cup I played with Dominik Hrbaty in the mixed doubles and it was great, I really enjoyed it. Q: What do you do to unwind after a match? DC: I take a massage, go to the gym and then just relax before dinner. Q: Do you prefer to play in summer or winter? DC: I prefer summer. Q: Who is your favourite female tennis player? DC: Kim Clijsters. I really like her game and she was my idol when I was growing up and playing tennis. The first time I started tennis she was playing and she was really nice to me. Once I was in the locker room looking around and everything was new to me. Kim was there and she was really nice to me and she talked to me, so I really like her. Q: Do you have advice for up-and-coming tennis players? DC: I think I'm still one of them. Maybe don't be scared of the big names. I realised that I could beat top players after a few matches. If I had realised this before, maybe it would have been easier for me. Q: Do you have a message for your fans? DC: I really appreciate the support they are giving me, it's really supportive when they're there cheering me on. It's important for me to see that people are cheering for me. Q: Have you had a funny experience with a fan? DC: I played the final in Montreal and the stadium was filled with thousands of people. I had a match point and all of a sudden one guy screams out 'I love you Dominika!' I couldn't put the ball in the court and I was like ‘ thanks for that'. Q: Did you really star in a TV show? DC: In Slovakia we have a very famous series, and they invited me to be in one episode and it was quite fun. Q: Who's your favourite actor? DC: Orlando Bloom, for sure. Q: What was the last movie you saw? DC: The last movie I saw was terrible, and it was here in Melbourne. The movie was Bride Wars, and in the middle of the movie I wanted to leave. (lol) Q: What kind of music do you like? DC: I'm listening to pop and R&B. My favourite singers are Kanye West and Beyonce. Q: Is it true that you really love handbags? DC: Yes, I have a few bags. When I go to a tournament I say to myself ‘if you play the final or semifinal, you can buy this bag’. We are staying in Melbourne city, and around the corner from my hotel there’s a very nice bag shop. I already have an eye on a bag. I really like Gucci or Louis Vuitton bags. Q: What do you like to do when you are out with your friends? DC: I like to just hang out with my friends and I like to party sometimes and go shopping. Q: How would you describe your ideal man? DC: He must be funny. He must know how to make me laugh. (看來雙M都是這樣的人) Q: Do you have any pets? DC: I have a Yorkshire Terrier dog named Pupy. Actually my Grandma is looking after him because I haven’t got much time right now. I always bring him some nice stuff from the tournaments I play like jeans and a shirt. In December, I went to a shopping mall and bought him a Santa Claus outfit. Q: What’s your favourite meal? DC: I really like sushi and traditional Slovakian food. Q: What’s you favourite drink? DC: A typical Slovakian drink, it’s something like Coca-Cola but it isn’t, it’s called Kofola. Q: What’s your favourite ice-cream flavour?
