1) Favourite holiday spot?
I would like to go to Hawaii; it's so far and I haven't been there yet. But
for sure I will go some day; that's for sure. Because it's so far; I mean,
I'm from Poland, it's like, you know, the other side of the world. So it's
far. I love that stuff [the sun, surf and beach].
2) Finish this sentence: "If I wasn't a tennis player, I'd be..."
I've heard this question many times. I have no idea. It's so hard to answer
because since I'm young I'm playing tennis, so I have no idea. But for sure I
wouldn't be a singer because I can't sing - [I'm] no singer!
3) Best moment on court?
It's hard to say one match, one tournament. But maybe let's say the first
tournament I won; it was Stockholm, I think, two years ago? How many, three
years ago?
4) What's your New Year's resolution?
Good question! [Polish reporter interjects: I tell you what, marry (Chilean
world No.68 tennis player) Fernando Gonzalez!] Why him, why him? I mean, good
choice, but...! [Laughter] I will think about it - we come back for this
question.
5) What are you listening to on your iPod?
I think I have all kinds of music when I'm travelling, like, you know, all
the time. I mean, I like all kinds of music; R&B, you know, hip hop.
Something like, you know... [Polish reporter interjects: Not the father's
music.] Yeah, exactly.
6) If you could pick any player from history to be your doubles partner, who
would you choose?
[Polish reporter interjects: John McEnroe!] You think? [Laughter] I think I
would like to play doubles with Steffi Graf. I think she was just a great
champion, you know, so great tennis; wins 22 grand slams.
7) Forehand or backhand?
Forehand. I think I have both the same shots [ability-wise] but I think it's
just the main shot, forehand in tennis, so...
8) Sweet or savoury?
Sweet! [Laughter] [My favourite dessert is] cheescake; I love cheesecake.
[But I'm sweet too because] I don't know, you should ask my friends!
[Laughter]
9) Beatles or Rolling Stones?
Beatles, I think. I don't know; it's a hard question because I would choose
both, but maybe I would, yeah.
10) Which actor would you get to play you in a movie about your life?
Well, let's say Brad Pitt, yeah. But like, 10 years ago. [Laughter] Well, I
think he's just a great actor and he has great movies and I really like him.
