Players back to face Wigan

Jose Mourinho has welcomed the return of two players to his squad for
Saturday’s game against Wigan but has lost another to injury. “Joe Cole
and Crespo are back. Makelele is still out. Shaun Wright-Phillips is out,”
was the manager's fitness report ahead of the game.

Cole has missed the last two games with a calf strain. Crespo, scorer
of the winner in the away game at Wigan, has been out for the same period
with a rib injury sustained at Portsmouth. Claude Makelele is in his third
week of recovery from a knee ligament strain.

Mourinho revealed Wright-Phillips' problem resulted from a foul in
Tuesday's Champions League game for which Liverpool's Djimi Traore was
booked. Didier Drogba is again in the 16-man party. The striker has been
available for the last two games despite pain in one of his knees.

“He was a brave boy for us, a good character,” commended Mourinho.
“He was playing without a lot training, trying to give his best. Of
course he has not been at the maximum level but he was still a player for
us and gave a contribution."
