It was certainly a memorable Sunday for Barkley and Aston Villa, as they hammered reigning champions Liverpool 7-2. Luke McCormick and Bristol Rovers picked up their first win of the season in League One, beating Northampton 2-0 at home, and McCormick was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet when he curled just wide, shortly before being substituted in the 86th minute.
