IRURETA COMMENTS ON ACTUAL SITUATION On Thursday night Miguel Santos, the agent of Javier Irureta, had dinner with Deportivo president Lendoiro to discuss the future of the Basque trainer. At the end of every season there's an evaluation of the situation but until now all parties have come to an agreement. However, Miguel Santos stressed that "the situation is a bit different now because every year he has been doing better than before, and this year he even had to cope with the sale of Roy Makaay. I don't want to pressure anyone, but it's evident that his prestige has gone up". Meanwhile, Irureta himself only wanted to comment about the current situation of the team. (詭異你們兩個幹嘛一起吃飯?) Q: On Wednesday there was a big party in La Coruna. A: Yes, yes, we were all very happy. There's a tremendous euphoria and people were dancing in the streets. However, after thinking for a while I realized that we only had a bad spell of eighth minutes in the San Siro. Did you expect from them what they have achieved? A: To be honest, yes. For me they were a clear candidate for the title from the start. I have a Portuguese channel in my room and watch them closely. They have kept a very regular line and always score at least one goal. They are a balanced team and very difficult to beat. I think we have a fifty percent change of eliminating them.
