two-run ninth-inning rally that resulted in a 5-4 victory.

Eugenio Velez hit a ball up the middle that slipped by pitcher Hong-Chi Kuo

The Giants won their first series against the Dodgers since last September
and have won six of their past nine games overall. Matt Cain remained winless
against the Dodgers in nine career starts, allowing four runs in seven
innings.

San Francisco extended its lead to 3-1 in the fourth when Winn lined a ball
to right field to score Roberts and Ivan Ochoa. But Cain couldn't hold on,
giving up a two-run double to Manny Ramirez.
