Reds placed C Devin Mesoraco on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to
April 28, with a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Advice: Brutal news for Mesoraco, who was hoping to rebound after being
limited to 23 games last season due to a torn labrum in his hip. It's unclear
how long he'll be sidelined or if surgery will be required, but he'll
obviously be facing a lengthy absence. Tucker Barnhart will likely handle the
bulk of the catching duties for now.
