Tinsley原本在上星期是要去與熱火面談，但是面談最後卻遭取消。 Riley insists that the Heat aren't being cheap, and that their decision not to add a veteran is all part of their master plan. Riley說之所以會這樣做，不是因為球團吝嗇，而是球團以經決定不再追逐老將，好完成球隊最終計畫。 "It's not about being frugal," Riley told the Palm Beach Post, "it's about being very systematic with the plan."
