The Nerazzurri had been tracking the player for some weeks and finally reached an agreement last night. Although the cost of the transfer fee has yet to be made public, it is believed to be in the region of ￡1.5m. "They wanted me and I wanted Inter," the 31-year-old told the club’s official website. "After some lengthy talks, the two clubs finally reached an understanding. "I was hoping to arrive at such a great club and at the age of 31, this is a now or never opportunity. I need to show people that I deserve this chance." Will he play as a right-back or as a right-sided midfielder? "I’ll play where the Coach tells me to," he replied.
