Both players retired after Euro 2004, but the defender opted to make himself available again to the French national side earlier this month. The Czech Republic were hoping to tempt Nedved to do the same, but the midfielder has no desire to add to his previous 83 caps. "Pavel hasn't changed his decision. Pavel will not play international games due to his fitness concerns," Czech boss Karel Bruckner told CTK. "I spoke with him on Wednesday. He confirmed to me his previous statement that he has given up playing for his country." The former Golden Ball winner's agent has also confirmed that Nedved will not appear for his country again – even with the 2006 World Cup Finals on the horizon. "Pavel considered a return," stated Zdenek Nehoda.
