In situations like these, we have to take it one day at a time. We still have three training sessions before the game. Everyone has the right to have their own methods, everyone wants to innovate, and that's fine. He mustn't choose to use players just for their name or because he likes them as people, but based on what he sees during training. Competition and the desire to be the best are good things. Ranieri has often spoken well about me. I thank him for his words, and it's a good starting point, but in the end it all boils down to how well I'm going to play”. Ranieri 的方法：「因為受傷的關係我在場下認識主教練多過在場上，大家都有權力擁有自己的方法，每個人都想創新，這樣很好，他絕不能只因為名號或是個人喜好來選用球員，而該以他在訓練中的所見為基礎，競爭與成為最佳的渴望是好事，Ranieri 經常說我的好話，我感謝他的讚美，這是個好的出發點，但是到最後一切端看我踢得好壞。」 The new Juve: “The club has operated well; and they've worked hard to rebuild the management side of things. The foundations were very good but there was a lot to do. We come from Serie B, the team has been renovated, we have a new management staff and the executives have only been here one year. It isn't easy to find the right combination straight away, but the spirit is the key, and that's how I'm living the situation”. 瞄準巔峰：「我為求第一而努力，我要求自己做到本身與球隊的最佳水平，當我站上賽場只為取勝，而非留下好印象，我們都應該這樣思考，我們想要復仇也擁有巨大的熱情，但我們都知道自己還有很常的路要走，我們從義乙上來，陣容已經作出更新，擁有新管理層，行政人員才做了一年，要馬上找到適當組合不容易，不過關鍵在於精神，我就是這樣在這狀況中生活的。」 The group: “In the last few weeks I spoke extensively with my team mates, especially Buffon. I'm happy that Trezeguet and Camoranesi have stayed too. This summer camp period is useful to get to know your team mates better, and to talk. Reading the papers lately, it's as if I'm on crutches. Last year my body responded very well, I scored a lot of goals and ended up as top scorer, which was something I really wanted. If I had a season like that in Serie B, where they play a rougher game, I don't see why this year can't be the same. The important thing is that I train well”. 良好健康的重要性：「你可以高談闊論，但是到頭來答案只來自賽場，最近看報紙好像我在拄拐杖似的，去年我的身體反應非常好，進了很多球，最後成為金靴，那是我真正想要的，如果我能在義乙踢出那樣一個賽季，而那裡的球風還是比較粗野的，我看不出為何今年我無法有相同表現，重要的是我訓練得順利。」 The season that's beginning: “It'll be a really different season from the others; it's starting in a different way, and with a different situation. I'm looking forward to a lot of things”. 賽季開端：「跟其他賽季相比這真的會很不一樣，以不同的方式開始，也有著不同的情勢，我對許多事情都很期待。」 The contract: “When they came up to Pinzolo the other day, the executives told me that we have to talk. I don't have any reason to be angry that I'm the last one to have their contract renewed. That can even be an advantage sometimes. If I have something to say, I'll tell the executives directly and not through the papers. I believe and I hope that the negotiations won't take long. During the course of the last year, everybody has had something nice to say about me, the Agnellis, the Chairman, Blanc and Secco. They all pointed out that I'm fundamental to the club and the supporters here also remind me of this, every single day. Yes, it could've happened over the years, a few clubs wanted to sign me, but it never got up to the negotiations stage. In life there are times when you kind of look around. He has excellent potential, he has great skill. I hope he does well”. In any case, if he really was to quit the national team, I wouldn't be interested in getting back the number 10 shirt. Am I going to quit? No way, I aim to take part in the World Cup in South Africa, in 2010; but as I like to take one step at a time, I'm concentrating on the European Championships for the time being”. 國家隊：「我無意評論 Totti 的狀況，那太複雜，我不想冒說錯話的風險，無論如何，如果他真的要引退我也沒打算拿回十號球衣，我是否打算退出？不可能，我的目標是參加2010年的南非世界盃，不過我喜歡一步一步來，此刻我正專注在歐洲國家盃。」 Collina and refereeing: “I expect referees to be impartial. We've been forced to stop and sign autographs and take photos much more often than before. We've had over 5,000 people at the training ground every day. People are keen to see this team. They were keen to see it in Serie A again.
