Blanc voices Juve regrets

Juventus general manager Jean-Claude Blanc looks back
over two troubled years and reveals his greatest regret.
The Frenchman took charge along with President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli
and director of sport Alessio Secco in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal
that saw the club demoted to Serie B in 2006.
“These have been difficult seasons,” he confessed on Juventus Channel.
“At least they are behind us now.
Blanc 回顧兩年前因電話門醜聞降乙到今天的歷程：
「那些艱困的賽季啊，至少現在都已經在我們身後了。」
“The worst memories I have of this time is having to let
some great champions leave the club. It was a painful decision,
but a necessary one.”
「我最糟糕的回憶是在當時要讓一些偉大的冠軍球員離開俱樂部，
那是個苦痛的決定，但卻是必需的。」
The likes of Fabio Cannavaro, Gianluca Zambrotta, Zlatan Ibrahimovic
and Patrick Vieira were sold that summer, but other legends such as
Alessandro Del Piero, Gianluigi Buffon, Pavel Nedved, Mauro Camoranesi
and David Trezeguet remained.
“Fortunately not everyone left and those who stayed on still represent
the foundations of the team today. It is above all thanks to them
that we are back in the Champions League.”
「幸運的是並非所有人都走了，那些留下來的人到今天都仍代表了這隻球隊的基石，
最重要的是感謝他們，我們又重回歐冠了。」
That European adventure begins next week against Super Cup
and UEFA Cup holders Zenit, while the squad aims for its
first Serie A victory on Sunday evening when welcoming Udinese.
“Today Juventus are a very strong side,
but tomorrow they will be even stronger,” concluded Blanc.
