LeBron在星期五表示 : "很顯然的，我非常的生氣，我對我自己感到失望。為了這一場比賽我做了一切該做的事，不過最後我感覺到我的身體辜負了我。我生氣的原因是我沒能在關鍵時刻在場上幫助我們贏球。 James was made aware of the backlash against him because of his inability to continue, as his toughness was questioned on social media and he was mocked by Gatorade for not being hydrated enough. James endorses Gatorade's rival, Powerade, but drinks Gatorade during games because it is the official NBA sponsor. James的抽筋事件也引起很多人質疑他在比賽中的韌性，其中包含像媒體到知名運動飲料 Gatorade都嘲弄他。原因很簡單，正因為LeBron支持Gatorade的勁敵 - Powerade。雖說支持歸支持，比賽當中LeBron也跟其他球員一樣喝Gatorade，畢竟是聯盟廣告的運動飲料。 "I really don't care what people say about me, I don't care about that drink group. ...
