Olsen beats Braves to win third straight
Florida picks up first series win in Atlanta in nearly four years

ATLANTA -- It's been a long time since the Marlins left Turner Field with
something to cheer about. Thursday was one of those occasions.
Behind Scott Olsen's six shutout innings and Matt Treanor's two-run homer,
the Marlins clipped the Braves, 6-1, to claim their first three-game series
in nearly four years.
亞特蘭大 -- 很長一段時間馬林魚群們沒有歡樂的離開Turner Field了。而這個星期四
正剛好是這樣的機會。靠著Olsen六局無失分好投以及Treanor的兩分彈，馬林魚以六比

The last time the Marlins took a three-game set in Atlanta was Sept. 20-22,
2002, when they won two of three.
上一次取得對戰優勢已經是2002年九月20到22號，那次他們贏了三連戰中的兩次勝利。
Olsen's strong two-hit, five-strikeout performance enabled the Marlins to
battle back after losing a tough 6-5 decision on Wednesday night.
Olsen六次三振僅被打出兩支安打的好表現讓馬林魚得以在星期三以六比五輸掉比賽後能
夠反擊。
By taking the series, the Marlins are 47-53 after 100 games, and sit five
games behind the Reds in the loss column in the bunched-up Wild Card race.
Florida moves a half-game behind Atlanta for second place in the NL East, and
a half-game ahead of the Phillies.
打完這次系列賽，馬林魚在一百場比賽中取得了47勝53敗的戰績，並以六場的勝差暫時在
外卡排行上落後給紅人隊。馬林魚距離國聯東區排名第二的勇士隊半場勝差，同時也以半

Beginning Friday night, the Marlins play a pivotal five-game series at
Philadelphia over four days.

"It's a great way to start the trip," manager Joe Girardi said. "After a
tough loss yesterday, our guys came out and battled."

Solid again, Olsen (9-4) won his third straight start. The rookie hasn't
given up a run in 12 2/3 innings.

Considering the Marlins' youth and inexperience, they have not been regarded
as playoff contenders. Girardi and the organization maintain they can't think
about the postseason as long as they are under .500.

"We're still six under, so we need to get to .500," Olsen said. "When we get
to .500, we'll see how everybody else is doing and how we shape up. There is
no point to look at it. There is still a third of the season left. Anything
can happen."

As practical as the team is being, Treanor admits he is aware of the
standings.

"You kind of got to keep an eye on it, and keep focus on what you're really
doing out here," said Treanor, who catches Olsen regularly. "If you don't
really stay focused on winning the East, or second best, getting that Wild

big leagues, and that's where I want to be."

Thursday's win is certainly a step in the right direction.

The Marlins used a two-out rally to score three times off starter Jason
Shiell (0-2) in the second inning.
馬林魚們在二局上兩出局後面對勇士先發投手Shiell打進了三分。
Josh Willingham slapped an RBI single to center, and Treanor connected on a
two-run homer, the second of his big-league career.
Willingham先送了支中外野一分打點的安打，接著捕手Treanor馬上補上一支兩分砲，這是
他大聯盟生涯第二支。
In the sixth inning, the Marlins capitalized on some fielding miscues to take
a 6-0 lead. Reliever Oscar Villarreal was tagged for three runs, with one
earned, on four hits in the inning.
而在六局上馬林魚群們靠著一些勇士們守備上的失誤，取得六比零的領先。勇士後援投手
Villarreal在這局被打了四支安打掉了三分，其中一分是自責分。
Singles by Cody Ross and Jeremy Hermida started the rally. Treanor chopped a
grounder to third, which was booted for an error. With the bases full, Olsen
hit what could have been a double-play ball, but shortstop Edgar Renteria
fumbled the play. By the time the ball was flipped to second baseman Marcus
Giles, Treanor was safe at second, and a run scored.
攻勢是由Ross與Hermida的兩支一安展開的。接著Treanor打了個三壘方向的高彈跳，造成

Giles, meanwhile, tried to throw Olsen out at first, and the toss sailed wide
for an error, allowing a second run to score. Olsen was credited with a
single, his second of the game, while Giles was charged with an error. Dan
Uggla's RBI double brought in the sixth Florida run.
此時Giles試圖將球傳向一壘想封殺Olsen，卻傳了個大暴傳造成失誤，讓馬林魚跑進第二
分。Olsen這球被判為安打，也是他這場的第二支安打，而Giles則被記了一個傳球失誤。

Olsen admits he isn't much of a hitter. Running the bases on a 92-degree,
humid afternoon, tired him, he said. That's one reason he was lifted after
six innings, and 97 pitches.
Olsen承認他並不是個好打者。在高達華氏92度而且潮濕的下午跑壘也讓他十分疲
憊。這也是為何他只投了六局97個球的原因。
Olsen felt winded racing from first to third on Uggla's double.

"That was worse than pitching, running the bases," Olsen said. "When I ran
first-to-third, I was exhausted. I was glad he held me up."

Encouraging for Olsen is the fact he was able to battle out of some
early-inning trouble. In the first, he faced second-and-third and one out.
But he struck out Andruw Jones and Jeff Francoeur.

況。但是他三振了A.Jones與Francoeur化解了危機。
Escaping unmarked, the Marlins felt an emotional lift after the first.

"That was huge, and he had to face some tough hitters to get out of it,"
Girardi said. "He has the ability to strike guys out."

Francoeur got the Braves on the board in the seventh with his 20th home run,
a leadoff drive to left-center off reliever Randy Messenger.

"This is a big road trip for us, coming here and then going into
Philadelphia," Treanor said. "Things can really happen that could catapult us
into position for later in the season."
「接下來出戰費城人隊將是個艱困的旅程。」捕手Treanor這麼說道。「任何事都可能發生
使我們從接下來的賽程中跳脫出目前狀況。」
