The Iceland native signed with the Mavericks as a free agent on September 2, 2003. Stefansson (6-5, 205) played for Dallas in the Long Beach Summer Pro League and the Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue this summer. He averaged 9.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in nine games.
