A pre-existing heart condition in Mobley, found by the Houston Rockets many years ago that has not affected the guard either on or off the court, has delayed New York signing off on the trade, which would make things official. Originally the Knicks tried for Marcus Camby and then a first round selection before dropping both and accepting Thomas and Mobley. However, with questions surrounding Mobley's health, it is possible (albeit speculative) that New York may ask for something additional to take on the risk. "All I know is, we sent two guys there who were playing for us with no (physical) issues," said Clippers GM and coach Mike Dunleavy. "So I don't think it's going to be anything that's going to hold the deal up. But they have until (today) to either say 'yea' or 'nay' on the trade. It has to be by (today). That's the deadline." Adande from ESPN.com, one source said the Clippers are talking to the Charlotte Bobcats about a package that would send Kaman to Charlotte for Jason Richardson. However, another Clippers' source said, "Kaman's not out there."
