重點: A-Rod拿回他的棒子
1. 週日魔鬼魚的三壘手岩村的棒子因老托的抗議被沒收後, A-Rod的球棒也因魔鬼魚總教
練Maddon的要求同樣被沒收。岩村的球棒被老托懷疑比一般球棒要短。
2. MLB當局檢查後說兩支球棒都完全符合規定, 沒有任何亂改或改變正常球棒的徵象, 所
以兩支球棒立即被歸還給球員。
3. A-Rod說: "太好了, 我很高興是這樣。" 當(有點白目的)記者問道, 他是不是很高興球
棒沒有被發現任何不合法的改變。A-Rod很輕蔑地說: "我才不會這樣做呢!"
The third baseman's bat was confiscated by the umpires in Saturday's game
against Tampa Bay, after Devil Rays' manager Joe Maddon requested them to
inspect it. Maddon was responding to Torre's request that the umpires inspect
Akinori Iwamura's unique, shorn-off looking bat.
MLB ruled that both bats were in full compliance with regulations, and that
neither bat showed any signs of tampering and/or alteration. Both bats were
to be promptly returned.
"Cool," Rodriguez said. "I'm happy for that."
When asked if he was pleased that nothing illegal was found about his bat, he
said, "I don't give a (hoot)."
