Devin Harris has a chance to turn the page Wednesday night on an embarrassing
chapter in his career, but there was no chance Tuesday for the Nets'
25-year-old point guard to publicly clear the air.

Harris, who said Monday he was still upset about being benched in the
second-half of a blowout loss to the Celtics on Saturday, left practice
without talking to reporters to have precautionary X-rays on the ribs on his
right side because he had been having some problems with his oblique muscles.

second half of the season with a four-game road trip that starts against
All-Star guard Chris Paul and the Hornets (25-13).

Harris has shown that he can rise to a challenge. Last month against Dallas'
Jason Kidd, the man he was traded for last season, Harris struck for 42
points and 13 assists.

This time, Harris' pride was challenged Saturday when Frank benched him at
halftime with the Nets trailing by 29 points, on the way to their second
lopsided loss to Boston in four days.

"over it."

Veteran guard Vince Carter, who was also benched for Saturday's second half,
said the matter was already behind him.

"For us this is a chance to get back in the swing of things," Carter said.
"We got beat up pretty good the two games against Boston and lost a tough one
against Portland, so now we've had a chance to reflect on it, to let some
guys get healthy and to be ready to go for it."
