The Journal Sam Allardyce has indicated that Steven Taylor and James Milner could form the backbone of his long-term plans for Newcastle United. But, while both players have endured a marathon campaign because of the injury problems suffered by Newcastle last season - Milner will play his 62nd game of the season against Italy - Allardyce believes their experience of international football can only be a good thing for their development.
