Praise for derby fans' behaviour
Police have praised football fans for their "excellent behaviour" at
Saturday's Wear-Tyne derby.

There were only five arrests following the Sunderland-Newcastle match at
the Stadium of Light, all for low-level offences such as drunkenness.

Northumbria police said there were no incidents of major disorder.

In a bid to keep rival groups apart, Newcastle fans were delayed from
leaving the stadium until Sunderland supporters had departed.
這次客場的打比大戰，喜鵲球迷們被安排，要一直至主隊球迷們離場後才可以離開。
Ch Supt Neil Mackay said: "Generally speaking, the crowd was very
well-behaved. They enjoyed the action on the pitch and there was only a small
minority who could not behave.
"I would like to thank the Newcastle fans for their patience when they
were held back after the game while the area was cleared of Sunderland
supporters."

The 127th Wear-Tyne derby, watched by a crowd of 47,701, ended in a
one-all draw.
