Magic's double trouble (我只有翻大意，若翻的不好，敬請見諒) The Orlando Magic changed their roster, changed their look and, perhaps, changed their future fortunes Wednesday. And there's still seven shopping days left until the NBA trading deadline. One thing the Magic couldn't change, however, was another outcome against the Miami Heat. The Heat beat the Magic 110-100 Wednesday night at TD Waterhouse Centre, their second victory against Orlando in as many nights. The Magic (19-32) lost their sixth consecutive game and 10th in their past 11, falling further behind in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. The Magic have not given up the hunt, but they had their eyes on the future before the game with their decision to trade veteran center Kelvin Cato and a conditional first-round pick to the Detroit Pistons. In return, the Magic received power forward Darko Milicic, 20, and point guard Carlos Arroyo, 26. Milicic, 7 feet and 250 pounds, was chosen by the Pistons as the No. 2 pick in the 2003 draft, but he has been considered a bust. He is expected to be given a chance to play alongside Dwight Howard, 20. The deal, rumored for the past month, was completed after the Magic and Pistons agreed to how the pick would be protected in the upcoming drafts. The Magic had to clear a roster spot and waived forward Terence Morris, a training-camp signee. The Heat (33-20) obviously are headed in a different direction, and that would be upwardly. In Tuesday night's 107-93 victory against Orlando in Miami, Shaquille O'Neal dominated the Magic early and Dwyane Wade overpowered them late. This time, they needed both Eastern Conference all-stars to survive a furious Magic comeback from a 29-point deficit. The Heat led 89-60 with 10 minutes, 7 seconds left until the start of their all-star break. Orlando whittled the lead to six points with about two minutes to play, bringing the sellout crowd to its feet with a 28-9 run. O'Neal had to be summoned back into the game after basically taking the night off, having scored seven points on eight shots. Their angst was short-lived. Veteran Gary Payton drilled two 3-pointers within a 50-second span to allow the Heat to escape with their third consecutive victory. Oh, the Magic could trade for a perimeter defender while they're at it. Wade had 36 points to go with the 38 he scored against the Magic on Tuesday night. Wade just missed a triple-double, tallying 10 rebounds and nine assists. He also made 16 of 19 free throws, and two of his nine assists ended up in Payton's hands for the clutch 3s.
