It could be how the Rays need to keep on running -- or how the Rangers need to stop them in their American League Division Series matchup that starts Wednesday. Or how a big left-handed starter in Game 1 of the other ALDS, also to be played Wednesday, could set the tone These are all issues and questions facing the teams that emerged from the 30 Major League clubs to become the eight teams in the 2010 postseason. Here is a rundown of five keys for each of them, as presented by the MLB.com reporters covering the playoff clubs and in order of playoff seeding: American League TAMPA BAY RAYS The Rays must keep the heat on the opposition: Taking the extra base in any situation and keeping the pressure on opposing defenses has been the Rays' mantra all season -- even if it means taking the risk of making the third out at third base.
