The Orioles scored five runs in the seventh and five more in the eighth, overcoming a 10-1 deficit for an 11-10 win over the Red Sox. It was the largest margin the O's have overcome to win a game since moving to Baltimore in 1954, and it was only the third win in franchise history after trailing by as many as nine runs. The others were recorded by the St. Louis Browns in the 1930s. Conversely, it was only the second time in Sox history that they lost a game in which they led by nine or more runs in the seventh inning or later.
