▲ Majerle, O'Neal to have All-Star roles
SHAQ將和歌手Chris Brown一起為全明星賽做開場介紹
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Jason Richardson did not get invited to All-Star
Saturday Night's 3-Point Shootout. The NBA could not make Steve Nash be in
any Saturday competition in Phoenix after he was not named an All-Star.
But there will be extracurricular work for Suns this All-Star weekend.
Assistant coach Dan Majerle will play in Friday's celebrity game and be a
judge for the slam-dunk contest. Center Shaquille O'Neal and singer Chris
Brown will team up on something related to All-Star Game introductions. A
Suns player, ex-player and Mercury player will form a Shooting Stars trio.
Majerle, a former three-time All-Star, often plays with the younger Suns at
the end of practices.
"I'm more excited for it to be in Phoenix and to have the kids around," said
Majerle, whose children are 6, 8, 11 and 13.
O'Neal balked at All-Star Game introductions when it was announced without
his blessing. But then . . .
"The big boy called," O'Neal said of Commissioner David Stern. "It's a show."
