Rodriguez hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs to surpass the 30-homer, 100-RBIs marks for the ninth straight season as the New York Yankees posted a 10-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins in the rubber game of their weekend series. Facing the immense pressure that comes with a 10-year, $252 million contract and playing in the New York spotlight, Rodriguez appears to be in a position where he can only satisfy the fans with meaningful postseason hits. But there is no denying his jaw-dropping regular-season numbers. Last season, Rodriguez earned his second MVP award, hitting .321 with 48 home runs, 130 RBIs and 124 runs scored. But he went 2-for-17 in the postseason as the Yankees lost in the American League Division Series to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
