For the second night in a row, Alex Rodriguez was not in the Yankees' lineup. That meant that, for a fifth consecutive game, Nick Green was. "His eyes still look a little droopy, but it's nice to have him back in uniform," said manager Joe Torre. "I was 3-for-39; I was swinging like a girl," said a grinning Green. "I feel better about myself; my confidence is a little higher. I feel like I'm wanted, there are good guys who make me feel comfortable here." As a rookie with the 2004 Braves, Green appeared in two games in the National League Division Series, which Atlanta lost to Houston. "I was in the postseason in '04, and it was the best time in my life," Green said. "It was the first time I didn't want the year to end. I'd love to be able to participate this year."
