Leave it to our good friends at Tribune Co. to keep screwing up the hicago
Cubs, even after serving their final game as club owners. Seems the Tribsters
still don't have the official bidding documents prepared for prospective
buyers, meaning the sale process has been set back several weeks or months and
might not be ready until Opening Day. Or later.
Which is why Cub fans can forget any and all nonsense about Alex Rodriguez
signing with the Cubs. According to baseball commissioner Bud Selig, there is
no prohibitive favorite in the Cubs sweepstakes, though everyone knows that a
group led by his good pal, John Canning, is the lead dog.
