Zvonareva survives scare to win

Vera Zvonareva survived an early scare against Marlene
Weingartner to win 2-6 6-4 6-0 in her first round match.
The 11th seed was out of sorts in the first set under
the midday sun but recovered her composure to take the
second set with a late break.
The confidence she gained from that saw the former French
Open quarter-finalist find her true form and race into a
4-0 lead in the decider.
She then edged a marathon fifth game before serving out
for the match.
