Roma defender Matteo Ferrari’s future is still uncertain following the
failed contract extension negotiations. He will become a free agent in June
if no agreement is reached...
Ferrari’s agent Gianni Corci and Roma’s director of sports
Daniele Prade met on Friday to discuss the renewal of the player’s contract
after weeks of speculation.
However, no agreement was reached, leading to rumours that Ferrari could be
on the way out of the club in summer.
But according to the latest speculation, there is still the possibility that
the player could extent his current deal with the Giallorossi in the coming
weeks.
Despite failing to reach an agreement, Roma have made important step forwards
in the baragaining process, and are optimistic of their chances of holding on
to the player.
Still, Corci is leaving every option open: Ferrari has been linked to
Juventus and Milan in recent weeks and could make a move to either club on a
free transfer in June if no new deal is sealed.
