Francesco Totti admits his fears following his latest injury which will rule
him out for the season.
Er Pupone went down in some discomfort during his side’s 1-1 draw with
Livorno. At first he seemed okay and was able to continue, but only seconds
later he went down in a heap and only then did everyone in the Stadio
Olimpico realise it was serious.
Examinations revealed damage to his anterior cruciate ligament which means he
is out for the rest of the season.
It’s a massive blow for Roma who have all but thrown away their Scudetto
dream and Totti doesn’t seem bothered as he is more concerned with his right
knee.
“I felt a crack. I’m a bit worried,” said the Roma captain as he left the
Villa Stuart clinic in Rome.
“What do I think about the result? I don’t know. Frankly I’m more worried
about my leg right now.”
Roma are now three points behind Inter who are still yet to play on Sunday.
The Nerazzurri clash with Torino and a win will all but crown them champions.
