Matteo Ferrari's agent, Gianni Corci, admits that his client may extend his
deal with Roma, but added that there are ongoing talks with other clubs too.
The stopper's contract expires this summer and there were reports that it
would not be renewed.
The former Italy defender has been linked with several clubs including
Juventus and Fiorentina but his agent believes that a deal with Roma can
still be reached.
"I spoke to the Roma directors earlier and we were not too far off from
reaching an agreement," Corci told Roma News.
"I believe that we can still reach a deal with the club over Ferrari.
"Everything is still possible but it's also important to focus on what Matteo
wants at this stage.
"Ferrari has not agreed any deal with any club but we are in the process of
negotiating with two Serie A teams.
"Fiorentina want Ferrari but he has not been in contact with them yet."
The 29-year-old seems like he wants to remain in the capital, but the Viola
are after the stopper as they continue to bolster their side in light of next
seasons commitment's in the Champions League.
