Matteo Brighi’s agent, Vanni Puzzolo, admits that there is a good chance the
midfielder will stay in Rome.
Brighi’s contract expires next summer and his agent is looking to extend it
with the Giallorossi.
So far they have not been able to sit down with Roma directors because of the
board's preoccupation with the alleged takeover.
However, Brighi's agent Puzzolo admits that there is a great chance of Brighi
extending his current deal by an extra four, or even five years.
“I think that we can close a deal on extending within the next two weeks or
so,” Puzzolo told Teleradiostereo.
“His contract expires next summer but I spoke to Daniele Prade (Roma
sporting director) after the final game of the season and he told me there is
a good chance of extending.
“I know that Roma admire Brighi and there is the intention of continuing
with him.
“If we reach a deal then it will be for four or five years. I don’t think
that any potential take over will have an effect on us.”
Brighi has played a big part for Roma but it has been mostly from the bench.
He has not featured much for the Giallorossi this term but he has been
excellent when he has played for them.
