Napoli goalkeeper Gennaro Iezzo could be on his way to Rome: the capital city
side are searching for a back-up for Doni as Gianluca Curci is on his way out.
Roma want an adequate back-up for their first choice goalkeeper Doni, as
current second goalkeeper Curci is set to leave the club this summer, with
the most probable destination being Parma.
Following Doni's extension to his current deal to 2012, the Giallorossi want
to be certain that they have two good goalkeepers in the squad and the
Partenopei's shot-stopper seems the favourite to become Doni's reserve.
The player's agent, Luca Urbani, seems very keen on the move as he explained
how his client would accept an offer from Roma once it arrives.
"Only a crazy man would refuse a Roma side in the Champions League," Urbani
told 'Romanews.eu'.
"No one in Italy could say no to an eventual offer by the Giallorossi - even
though Gennaro is tied to Napoli until 2010 - even for sentimental reasons,"
concluded the agent.
