Roma's promising young goalkeeper Gianluca Curci will have a chance to show
his worth on loan with a smaller club, according to his agent.
Goalkeeper Gianluca Curci of Roma is considered one of the most promising
young goalies in Italy, but playing in a top club means the 22-year-old is
mostly relegated to the bench. That's why the Giallorossi plan to give the
Under 21 international the chance to show his skills at a smaller club,
probably on loan.
"Curci will play with more continuity," said his agent Claudio Sclosa. "We
are evaluating the different proposals the club have had.
"Gianluca has great qualities and he will get the chance to show them, and
then perhaps he will return to Roma to earn a starting place.
"Siena, Cagliari, and Chievo are clubs who have shown interest in him, but I
can't say who has the advantage, also because it remains to be seen whether
Roma want to loan him or make a co-ownership deal.
"Certainly at Trigoria they don't want to lose Curci, they've always believed
in him. There have also been talks with Livorno for a swap deal with Giovanni
Pasquale, but the Tuscan team's relegation canceled those plans."
