Doni: 6.5- Did not see much action between the posts tonight and never looked uncomfortable. Cassetti: 7.0- Was able to push forward on more than one occasion and made an overall pest of himself on the flanks. Panucci: 7.5- The Giallorossi captain led by example and found the back of the net for the opening goal after a goal mouth scramble. Was dangerous on set pieces all evening long. Loria: 6.0- Has been error prone in the first couple of matches of the season but looked fairly solid tonight even though his bell was rung by Doni in the first half. Riise: 6.0- He is still adapting to Italian football but put together a spirited performance. Brighi: 7.0- Will be pleased with his effort tonight and ran rampant and wild over an overmatched Reggina midfield. De Rossi: 6.0- A quiet match by his lofty standards but was not a liability by any means. Taddei: 6.5- A solid night’s work by the midfielder who is still rounding into form. Aquilani: 8.0- Pulled the strings in the midfield tonight and scored an absolute beauty with his left foot. A candidate for goal of the season so far. Menez: 7.0- Had a glorious opportunity in the 31st minute but decided to cut the ball back instead of having a shot. Went down a few times a little too easily but showed some flashes of brilliance that may be a sign of things to come. Vucinic: 7.0- Did well up front on his own, holding the ball up and linking well with Menez and Aquilani. His great effort from the seat of his pants that was turned over the bar by Campagnolo would have made for a great highlight reel goal had it gone in.
