Roma suffered yet another loss this season as they were defeated 3-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris by Genoa. A key incident in the match occurred with Genoa leading 2-1. Christian Panucci tucked the ball home for the Giallorossi, but the goal was called back for a dubious offside position. Had the goal stood, it would have levelled the score with 25 minutes to go. "In football today it is not permissable to make these kinds of mistakes," fumed the Roma president, who was recently voted into the position after her father, Franco Sensi, passed away in August. Roma have managed just four points from their first four Serie A matches this season and also started off their Champions League campaign with a shocking loss to Romanian side CFR Cluj. The linesman may have erred at the Marassi, but Sensi believes Roma should be doing better regardless. "The mistakes made by the trio of officals at the Marassi cannot be an alibi for the team," she told RAI after the match. Sensi's comments are similar to those of head coach Luciano Spalletti. Roma will now look to get back on track as quickly as possible. Their first chance to do so will be when they host second-placed Atalanta this weekend.
