Cerci Advises Roma To Go For Floccari
The Giallorossi youth product has assured his former club that his Atalanta
teammate would cut the mustard at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma are expected to look to the transfer market in January to find a striker
in order to better cope with the lengthy absence of captain Francesco Totti,
who might be sidelined for two months.
Press reports have claimed that the Lupi are chasing Fiorentina’s unsettled
hitman Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, but other rumours have emerged linking the
capital club with Sergio Floccari.
It is alleged that Atalanta will not release their prized asset until at
least the end of the season, but Alessio Cerci urges his former side not to
miss out on his teammate.
“Should Roma sign him, it would be a major coup,” Cerci enthused on Radio
Incontro.
“I did not know him very well, before moving to Atalanta, but I can now say
that he truly is a great player.
“He always gives his all, both in training and on Sundays, and I’m sure he
will soon appear on the radar of several top sides.”
