Official: Panucci stays at Roma
Unsettled defender Christian Panucci will stay at Roma despite late bids from
Torino and Hull City.
The experienced ex-Inter man asked for a transfer after falling out with
Coach Luciano Spalletti.
Panucci refused to sit on the bench for Roma's game against Napoli last month
and demanded a new club.
Having been left out of Spalletti's latest Champions League squad, agent
Oscar Damiani was instructed to accept a switch to Torino.
However, no agreement was reached between the two sides and Panucci will be
forced to play out the rest of the season at Roma.
Then he will be free of his obligations in the capital because his contract
will expire.
