No Video Evidence Review For Inter Striker Balotelli - Report

Inter and Roma were involved in an incredible 3-3 draw at the San Siro on
Sunday evening. The Nerazzurri clawed their way back into the match, after
falling behind by two goals on two different occasions, with one of their
goals coming from the penalty spot.
Mario Balotelli earned and converted the penalty, but controversy has arisen
in the peninsula, as several players and pundits have suggested the young
striker may have gone to ground rather easily.
Despite the polemics, the incident will not be brought under review and
Balotelli is not at risk of being suspended. The actions of the teenager will
not be brought to Italian sports judge Gianpaolo Tosel, according to
tuttomercatoweb.
Tosel recently suspended another Nerazzurri striker, Adriano, for three
matches for a foul that was not caught by the referee during a recent match
between Inter and Sampdoria. Video evidence was also used to suspend
Fiorentina hitman Alberto Gilardino earlier in the season after he scored a
goal with the use of his hand.
However, Balotelli will incur no such punishment, as the prosecutor assigned
to the Inter- Roma match does not believe there is enough evidence to warrant
a decision by Tosel. Official word is expected later today.
