Italy Midfielder Alberto Aquilani: I'll Be Back
The midfield ace has put his injury woes behind him as he aims for South
Africa...
Roma and Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani is already looking forward to next
season and he is aiming to work hard so he can be a part of the Italian squad
for World Cup 2010.
The Rome-born star has endured an unfortunate year having been hampered by an
ankle injury which needed surgery. Aquilani is recovering in Amsterdam and he
is already making plans for next term.
"I don't know when I will be back, but I know that I will be," Aquilani told
La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"I am happy that I can put the bad period behind me. I am hoping to be ready
for the start of next season and I am aiming to play regularly so I can boost
my chances for 2010.
"It's a shame that I missed the Confederations Cup, but I am hoping to
re-conquer my place in the national side in future."
