Aldair: Roma Fans Must Respect Francesco Totti
The legendary Brazilian defender has scolded the Giallorossi fans over their
recent behaviour towards the captain. Totti has been a stalwart at the club
and deserves greater respect, explained the World Cup winner.
Roma captain Francesco Totti appears to have lost favour among the Lupi
faithful of late, but former Roma centre-back Aldair has criticised those who
slate the captain.
Some ultra groups allegedly disagree with the club’s decision to offer the
No.10 a lucrative five-year contract extension, but the Brazilian is
dumbfounded.
“Francesco does not deserve this,” ‘Pluto’ roared on RomaGiallorossa.com.
“He has given his all for Roma over the years and the fans owe him so much.
“I am disappointed with what is happening, but I think it will all turn out
for the best.”
After a 3-3 draw with Palermo in midweek, Roma travel back to Sicily at the
weekend to face Catania.
“It will be a difficult game, but I think Roma will come out on top this
time around,” mused Aldair.
“There is still a lot of work to do to fix the defensive line, but I reckon
that Roma have the drive to claim maximum points.”
