Daniele De Rossi Admits Roma Confusion Against Catania

Spalletti-style brand of football, whilst trying to adapt to a Ranieri way...
Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi may have helped his team secure a valuable
point away from home against Catania, but the Azzurri player admits that he
is at a loss to explain why the Giallorossi are not playing well.
After walking off the pitch with a 1-1 draw, De Rossi was not at all
satisfied with the result, as he discussed with Novantesimo.it.
"In the first half, we were a team that seemed flat - almost dead-like," the
Italian international remarked.
"We seemed incapable of reacting to the goal we had conceded.
"But what worries me is the most is that we interpreted the match wrong.
"We cannot continue to play a system like we did with [former coach Luciano]
Spalletti whilst attempting to play like [Claudio] Ranieri wants us to," De
Rossi concluded.
The Lupi play CSKA Sofia mid-week in the Europa League, and Napoli on Sunday
in the Serie A.
