Roma Forward Jeremy Menez Fed Up With Serie A Referees
The French hitman has hit out in controversial fashion after losing to
Milan...
Roma striker Jeremy Menez is furious after the Milan loss, and has described
it as "taking it up the a***."
It was Menez who scored for his side to race ahead early on at San Siro, but
referee Roberto Rosetti helped Milan catch up, and overtake the Giallorossi
to win maximum points.
A soft penalty was awarded to the Rossoneri when Nicolas Buridisso was judged
to have fouled Alessandro Nesta. Ronaldinho converted, before Alexandre Pato
won the game for Milan.
Menez thought he should have been awarded a spot-kick, and feels cheated by
the referee. While the referee has been criticised for his errors, Menez is
likely to land himself into hot water for his colourful use of language.
"I got fouled in the first half and it should have been a penalty. How can
you not give that? We are literally quiet fed up of taking it up the a***,"
Menez told the press after the game as reported by Il Tempo.
"It already happened in the first game of the season against Genoa when one
of their players should have been sent off for a foul on me, but the ref did
nothing. We can't take it any more."
