Roma defender Marco Motta is hoping that yesterday’s win over Bologna in
Serie A signals the dawn of a new era for the Lupi, after three straight
defeats in the league that prompted widespread protests from the Curva Sud
Ultras at the Olimpico.
“We are in a good mood now,” the former Udinese man told the Roma Channel.
“We wanted the three points. This is an ambitious side and we wanted to
atone in front of our fans.
“Those scenes are never nice. But what I can say is that I, along with my
team-mates, give our all week in week out.
“And I am really pleased now that the whistles turned into applause at the
end of the encounter.”
Roma welcome Fulham to the Olimpico in a crucial Europa League tie on
Thursday, before paying a visit to Serie A runaway leaders Inter next Sunday.
“All games are decisive,” mused Motta.
“We must take little steps and win.”
