Borriello set for Roma start?
There are reports Marco Borriello could push Mirko Vucinic on to the bench
when he makes his Roma debut next weekend.
The former Milan striker arrived on deadline day and could well be given a
starting role against Cagliari on Saturday evening.
His presence would push Vucinic on to the list of substitutes after a poor
performance in the opening 0-0 draw with Cesena.
According to the latest reports out of Rome, Borriello has impressed Coach
Claudio Ranieri in training.
He played alongside Francesco Totti in a game between ranks and scored two
goals.
It’s also true that Vucinic has been on international duty and could be
tired from his efforts with Montenegro, where he scored last night.
Jeremy Menez could play in the trequartista role behind Totti and Borriello.
